Patricia is a mostly self-taught artist whose work is infused with contemplative themes spanning a wide range of lifelong passions, from the political to the spiritual. Patricia approaches painting as a conversation between space, color, theme and texture, each with the potential to take on the character and meaning of the other.
In addition to painting, Patricia has done political organizing, census counting, teaching, babysitting, table waiting, fundraising, PR, human rights law, obtained millions for NYC schools, and quite a few other things. Born and raised in Romania, Patricia first learned about America from Michael Jackson, Dallas (the show), and aid workers flooding Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. When she moved to California as a teenager, she was disappointed not to find MJ walking among skyscrapers.
